Her blue drabs flanked her sides and sighed down to either side as she stuck her foot on the frozen sheets of ice. Her barefeet skimmed the surface. Kishi sat down by the water. The coldness of the ice slipping under her feet, her head falls into her hands. Tears roll down her cheeks as she stairs at the frozen fingers of moss and plants of the pond. The scene reminded her of August nights, heat baring down harder than the sun up.
