Minh found herself doing the same thing Kurobara was doing and grinned to herself. They always seemed to be doing things that coincide. But the grin was wiped off quickly. The slave trade was almost like this place where the "shadows of death lurk[ed]". She could understand.
Kishi fell in step with Minh and went outside through the vent, ignoring curious looks. Minh didn't look back. Kishi turned around before hopping into the vent, she whispered
"Meet you at death's door then, Minh's onto something. We'll take a detour", and she slunk off with Minh. Making sure that Kurobara would not follow them. She yanked kai from her neck wrap and held her quietly at her side. The bright sunshine was so oblivious. No, or more uncaring. Staring on everyday in its happy glow, while watching people die, get tortured, fall into darkness, and never blink an eye. The sun looked back sadly, as if saying "There's nothing I can do about it". Kishi looked away as her own clouded memories shook her. She soundlessly morphed into a girl that passed her by and swiftly touched her shoulder as she bumped by. She followed Minh, a big fat fake smile plastered on as they swept into the darkness of the amusement park.

Rose stood there watched as Kishi and Menisti walked away. She slumped down onto the floor and pulled a small crystal orb from her bag. Rose usually liked to play with the orb because it would rebuild itself once it was broken, but this time she just used it to distract herself from whatever was happening. Rose didn't understand a thing that had happened. She she pushed the crystal ball forward and swished it back with her tail and wished she was back in the forest where she grew up and knew the best.

Kurobara didn't bother wasting any time. She stomped on the concrete floor, and a huge, gaping whole opened up underneath her. As she fell through, the whole sealed up neatly.
Kurobara tumbled into a cart of laundry. Rubbing her head, she realized it was dim. Then she saw the clothes in the laundry hamper- they were blood-stained, sending shivers up her spine.
She crawled out of the hamper and tiptoed to the nearest door, and peered out.

Minh sped up. Kishi shouted,
"Minh! Wait!", Minh didn't stop, if even, she spen up. Kishi grabbed her shoulder and spun her around, but her words were frozen on her lips. Tears flapped down Minh's face. Minh screamed so sadly the world echoed. Yet no one turned around. Kishi wrapped her arms around Minh and hugged her.
"Come on. Let's go find the blood crystal now"

It was the same scene Kurobara had read in the boy's memory, except in a different room- but the situation was just as ghastly. The only splashes of color where the toys the assembled with bloody, scratched hands covered in soot. Their young faces were grim with sunken cheeks, and their eyes emotionless.
This seemed to be a "main room". It was huge, with a monstrous power generator placed in the center. The most horrifying part was the actual generator itself. Suspended in a glass container, a large crimson crystal shone with a dark aura. It dripped a red liquid.
Blood.

Kishi dragged Minh along. Monster House was the plaque that hung over the dingy house. Minh started gabbing to the man on gaurd taking tickets, Kishi slipped past the gaurd and hurried into the back door of the house. The room was completely dark. Her eyes slowly adjusted, Minh in the form of a Lightning Eagle flitted to her shoulder. Minh cooed and her head bobbed towards a cart.
Kishi climbed in,she stuffed her bag in the crook of the safety restraint, and pulled it down. The thing shot off like a rocket. Ghouls moaned in the first room and cold air shafted everywhere, blood licked off the sides of the wall. Fake leathery bats creeped over their head and a man was chopping off another's head... And kissing it after beheaded.... In another room, it was a bunch of clock work, and they were slowly pulling a man apart. Another, a girl lay hung out to fry. Her hands had tacks that kept her stuck to the wall, her throat lay ripped out and white veins showed. A vampire was slowly sipping blood from her leg. And the worst part, was every human in the exhibit. Was real...
A dark red eye looked at her, she noticed the emblem that had been on the boy's shoulder patched into it, glinting in the darkness. Kishi shook her head, knocking away all the thoughts of revulsion in her head. Kishi's bag gave her enough room to squeeze out. She jumped off the cart as it rocketed away.
Screaming.
Min cooed and laid her crying head on Kishi's shoulder. She whimpered but raised her beak and touched the eye. Blood poured down the sides of the room, a shaft appeared. They slid down, blood icking and mucking their faces as they slid. Never wanting to look back. She didn't want to know how many people they bled dry just to pour blood down those walls. She never wanted to know.
Again Kishi's eyes adjusted as they landed on the concrete. A blood red crystal lay in a scope, it dripped blood. The blood oozed down slowly and tauntingly. And she watched as the faceless people turned pale as more blood drained from the crystal.
Kishi sat down as they told ghost stories. It was an odd treat. But one line had stuck in her head,
"Pretty pretty little crystal crying little red kiddy kiddy string trailing sunken eyes lose blood", the ghost teller continued,
"And the kids had tubes connected to each of their finger tips all the way to the crystal. It kept them dying and suffering in pain. The only way they stopped sucking blood was when they worked, and when they stopped, the pain came backk..."
The man who had told the story died soon after. And it was said the corpse had a red crystal tucked away in its mouth. And that all his blood has bled away through his eyes and his fingernails pried off, only to be found in the nearby bushes, inside a scope...

Kurobara's heart skipped a beat.
A pale figure with shining red orbs eyed her hungrily. His jaw hung slightly open, exposing sharp, knife-thin fangs stained with crimson liquid...blood.
Lightning fast, the vampire threw itself away from its victim and launched itself toward Kurobara, latching its spindly clawed fingers around her neck. It- he?- hissed inhumanly, baring its fangs and craned forward to sink its teeth into her neck.
Kurobara lashed out with a roundhouse kick, knocking him backward. It only stunned him momentarily, though, and the vampire lurched back to its feet. Now its inhuman red eyes brimmed with anger as it charged once again. It growled menacingly.
Suddenly, others that Kurobara were not aware of creeped out of the shadows, blood dribbling down their chins. Now there was more than one vampire. More than one enemy.
And they were hungry.
Meanwhile, a figure leaned against a wall in the shadows along a catwalk. Peering down the railing, he chuckled darkly. "Let's see you deal with this then..."

Rose had slipped down the hole with Kurobara. When she landed beside her, she saw vampires baring their fangs at her and Kurobara. "Um... was this really the right place go?"

Kishi watched determined as the wind whipped out of a vampire from a roundhouse kick. Minh dissipated into mist. A mist wolf sure has it easy. She watched Minh evaporate in front of a vampire and slam a kick that made the beastly white pale creature slam against a column. Dust floated from the column. In a flash Minh was mist and then sitting on top of the nasty white creature and its blood stained tail coat.
Kishi drew up her sleeves of the woman's face she was wearing and she felt her mask of a commoner drip off like wax. Her hair shriveled into her blue waves. She grabbed a knot of air and shouted,
"Light Storm!" Lighting crackled in the air and storm clouds rolled in from the spot she had grappled. She dived into the clouds and -swam?- to Kurobara,
"Welcome to death's door. Take a swim. We're creatures of the light, we'll be unharmed", she -swam?- away from Kurobara and watched Minh as Kishi enveloped her fingers in light fire and wrapped her hands on the face of a villanious insect of blood. Minh was smarter than the rest of them. Instead of killing the ungodly creatures, she was torturing and interrogating it. Minh ripped vicously at the vampire's throat. Skin exposed she repeated her questions and the slightest hesitation she poked the poor creatures throat re opening the wound and blood flowed out freely as the vamp screamed.
Kishi's fingers drew out the eyeballs and she stared in horror as the eyeballs kept turning and twisting.
Then they saw her.
The vampire, still some how undead-dead launched itself, fangs bared at her.

Kurobara weaved through the glowing light, but the vampires were still intact and as vicious as ever. One of them threw itself at Kurobara.
In a split-second decision, she thrust out her hand and its fangs pierced her palm. The sacrifice gave her the golden opportunity she needed. Kurobara grabbed the vampire's chin and they locked eyes.
Tsukiyomi.
Her eyes swirled dangerously as she trapped the vampire in a mental prison. Kurobara was inside its mind now, and its mind was in her grip.
The vampire was suspended to a large wooden plank resembling a cutting board, and many katanas hovered above it.
"Tell me everything you know."

Kishi grappled for the vampires face. Then her hands felt the coarse paperlike yellow skin, her hand shriveled and the creature fell twisting in a ball of fire. She wiped the fire off on her pants and then turned to Minh. Who had been busy and had stoked out three of the vampires eyes and had them all trimmed on a spear.
Minh smiled, canines bared. But the sharp teeth faded back to human teeth momentarily. She strolled over to Kishi and nudged her.
Kurobara had the last vampire already. Kishi decided to just watch the show, and settled down on one of the fallen pillars sacrificed to Minh's rage.

To Kishi and Minh, it must have seemed like Kurobara and the vampire were simply suspended in space, blood dripping from the hand Kurobara had sacrificed.
On the inside, it was much much more.
Kurobara narrowed her eyes, flicked a finger, forced the blades to inch closer. The vampire glared angrily from its binding place. It spat at her feet and hissed angrily.
"You're in no position to anger me,"Kurobara said coldly. Her earlier demeanor had morphed into one of a hardened mercenary of war. "Unless you truly want to be subjected to seventy-two hours of pain and swords."
Suddenly the blades came to life, and began slashing and slicing. Cries and howls of pain echoed in the empty space. Splashes of blood splattered everywhere, painting the ground in crimson liquid.
In an instant, the vampire was back to where it was before- completley unharmed- but unfortunatley, still bound.
"Feel like telling me anything now?" Kurobara inquired.
The vampire still gasped for air, on the verge of hyperventilating. Of course, the previous assaults were not real- after all, they were the essence of mind now. But that did not mean the effects could not be avoided.
"A man," the vampire growled inhumanly.
"Oh, so you can speak, can you,"Kurobara drawled lazily. She twirled a lock of hair and fixed her eyes on the vampire. "Go on..."
"He's here. He's watching you at this minute. As powerful as a god- maybe even one himself. A golden haired one, like an angel. But the heart of a demon. He won't spare you." It laughed menacingly. "I won't escape alive, and neither will you."
"NONE OF US WILL!" it screamed.
Suddenly the surroundings flickered- Kurobara released the spell. She'd gotten what she needed. Once again, another seed of fear planted by Adrian. But it was another clue.
They were back to life, the same position. The vampire yanked out its fangs from Kurobara's palms and leaped away. But she was much too fast.
Kurobara pounced with lightning speed, despite her injured hand, and appeared right before the exit. The vampire skidded to a stop.
"I never said I'd let you leave alive."

Minh didn't wait. Even though it was Kurobara's kill, she morphed as she launched toward the vampire. Her skin morphed and rippled into one of the devil's children.
Her black fangs ripped out the neck and the spine of the vampire. The demon snarled and destroyed the white creature from Hades.
Minh was losing control though. As any transformation to one of the devil's children.
"Vicious much anyone?", Kishi crowed. Familiar sounds helped, "Maybe you should leave the poor beast alone" Minh immediately stopped moving. Blood dripping from her fangs she morphed slowly, skin bubbling like hot coals. One sleeve rubbed off the blood, then human again, Minh collapsed. Kishi caught her and whispered,
"Mist Minh", and in that instant Minh dissapidated into mist.
-I'm gonna rest, sorry-
-stay close though-
-duh. What if you guys accidently get stuck with human eaters?-
Kishi grinned. -As if you won't be a human while fighting-
-Nope, I'll be a tick. Itch itch?-
Kishi laughed, the sound was reassuring, as reassuring as anything can be entering the womb of the beast

Kurobara looked like an angel of death in the grim scene. The dark walls contributed to the atmosphere by creating an air of mystery, whilst dead bodies scattered everywhere added darkness and death. The blood that dribbled down her wrist was a splash of crimson color onto the dark and foreboding picture, as well as drops of red liquid staining her cotton shirt.
"Be prepared. From here own out, it's going to be much, much worse," Kurobara whispered ominously.
She simultaneously waved her arm for her teammates to follow as she walked forward towards the huge open darkness of the open gates, devoid of guards who had scattered the moment fighting had commenced. The gates bore the same huge insignia.
Kurobara, Rose, Mensiti and Kishi sweeped through the entrance. Kurobara lifted up a finger and a glowing light ignited. But suddenly, it disappeared. Puzzled, she stood in the pitch black dark and said, "What just happened?"
Suddenly a voice resonated in the room- from no particular direction, actually, but from everywhere. "This room negates your magic and all light. Can you defeat this challenge?"
"And Kuro-chan, don't even try to break out. 'Cause it won't work," the infuriating voice taunted. "Game- START!"
"Crap," muttered Kurobara. "Everyone, close your eyes! There's no point using sight. Use your sixth sense, if you have any! Rose, Menisti, you're our offense- you have animal senses. Kishi, you and I are backup."
Instantly, Kurobara felt a lightning-fast swish zip by and sliced a thin cut in her cheek. "It's begun, "she said grimly.

Minh laughed, her voice rebounding through out the room. Her magic was transformation and unfortunatly for the enemy, you can't take magic away from an animal.
-Finally! I play an important part- Her mist swirled and found around 8 enemies, still unidentified. One exit, which was currently sealed, a roof about 30 feet from the ground, which was no good. But she noticed vents at the bottom of the walls. They were going to flood the place.
"Keep your head above the ground!!! There might be a flood!" Minh screamed just as the water poured on, rushing and bursting slowly like a dam. Slowly and antagonizingly slow yet furious.
